Amantrel Tablet

Amantrel Tablet is a prescription medication used to manage neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms, and for the prevention and treatment of influenza A virus infections. Originally developed as an antiviral, Amantadine is now widely prescribed for its dopaminergic and NMDA receptor antagonist properties, which help improve motor control and reduce abnormal muscle movements.

This formulation works by increasing dopamine levels in the brain, which are often deficient in patients with Parkinsonism. Additionally, its action on NMDA receptors helps regulate nerve signals, making it useful in conditions involving nerve signal dysregulation.
