Andre Plus Eye Drops 10 ml (based on the given composition) is a combination ophthalmic preparation intended for severe or mixed eye infections involving inflammation along with bacterial and fungal components. It contains Clobetasol Propionate (strong corticosteroid), Ofloxacin (antibiotic), Ornidazole (antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent), and Terbinafine (antifungal agent).

This combination provides broad antimicrobial coverage along with anti-inflammatory action, helping in conditions where redness, swelling, pain, and infection occur together. However, due to the presence of a very potent steroid, it must only be used under strict medical supervision as eye tissues are highly sensitive.

The Clobetasol Propionate plays a strong anti-inflammatory role by suppressing immune responses in ocular tissues, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and irritation, but it must be used cautiously as it can increase intraocular pressure and mask infections. The Ofloxacin works as a broad-spectrum antibiotic by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing bacterial replication and treating bacterial eye infections. The Ornidazole targets anaerobic microorganisms and protozoa by damaging their DNA structure, making it useful in rare mixed infections. The Terbinafine acts as an antifungal agent by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, which is essential for fungal cell membrane formation, leading to fungal cell death.

Together, these ingredients provide combined anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action for complex ocular infections, but only when prescribed by an eye specialist due to safety risks.
