Delivery within 1 or 2 daysAptivog 0.3 mg Tablet contains Voglibose 0.3 mg, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used mainly in the management of Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by controlling post-meal (postprandial) blood sugar spikes, which are common after eating carbohydrates. Unlike insulin or other oral antidiabetic drugs that act on insulin secretion or resistance, Voglibose acts directly in the intestine, slowing down the digestion and absorption of complex carbohydrates such as starch and sucrose. This leads to a gradual rise in blood glucose instead of sudden spikes, helping maintain better overall sugar control throughout the day. It is usually prescribed along with diet control and exercise, and often combined with other antidiabetic medicines like metformin or sulfonylureas when single therapy is not sufficient.
Aptivog is especially useful for patients who experience high blood sugar after meals despite fasting sugar being normal. It helps reduce long-term complications of diabetes by maintaining better glycemic control and reducing glucose fluctuations.
