C Zen Plus Suspension is a multi-symptom relief syrup formulated to manage allergic reactions, common cold, flu, and fever. It combines:

• Cetirizine: an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itching.
• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): a pain reliever and fever reducer.
• Phenylephrine: a decongestant that helps reduce nasal congestion.

The suspension form (60 ml) allows for easy dosing in children, making it suitable for pediatric use.

Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine that specifically blocks histamine H1 receptors in the body. Histamine is the chemical responsible for typical allergic responses, such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itching. By inhibiting histamine, cetirizine helps reduce these allergy-related discomforts without causing significant drowsiness.

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, serves as a pain reliever and fever reducer. It works by acting on the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin production, which lowers body temperature and alleviates mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, body aches, or sore throat that often accompany colds.

Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic decongestant that constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages, thereby reducing swelling and relieving nasal congestion and sinus pressure. When combined, these three ingredients address the major symptoms of upper respiratory infections or allergic reactions.

Precaution

• Allergy check: Do not use if allergic to Cetirizine, Paracetamol, or Phenylephrine.
• Medical conditions: Use with caution in children with liver/kidney problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, or glaucoma.
• Drug interactions: Avoid other medications containing Paracetamol, antihistamines, or decongestants unless directed by a doctor.
