Cefelog 200 mg contains Cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections affecting various parts of the body, including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, throat, ears, and gonorrhea. Cefpodoxime works by killing bacteria or stopping their growth and is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is oral medication and is usually taken under a doctor’s supervision.

Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic that targets and destroys bacteria causing infections. It works by inhibiting the bacterial enzyme responsible for forming the cell wall, which is crucial for bacterial survival. Without a proper cell wall, bacteria cannot maintain their structure, causing them to rupture and die. By eliminating the harmful bacteria, Cefpodoxime helps the body recover from infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections. It does not work against viral infections like the common cold or flu.
