Cidazole 400mg Tablet

Cidazole 400mg Tablet is a widely used broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication indicated for the treatment of intestinal and tissue parasitic worm infections. It belongs to the benzimidazole class of antiparasitic agents and is highly effective against a range of helminths, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms.

This oral tablet formulation delivers a single 400 MG dose, which is often sufficient to eliminate common parasitic infections in both adults and children over 2 years of age. Albendazole works by inhibiting microtubule formation in the worms, disrupting their cellular structure, leading to their immobilization and death.

It is frequently used in mass deworming programs, particularly in regions with high prevalence of parasitic infections. In clinical settings, it is also used in higher or prolonged doses for more serious parasitic conditions such as neurocysticercosis (brain tapeworm) and hydatid disease (caused by Echinococcus).
