Crocin Cold & Flu Tablet is a combination medicine used to provide relief from the symptoms of the common cold, flu, and sinus congestion. It contains Paracetamol, which reduces fever and relieves pain; Phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant that helps clear a blocked nose; and Caffeine, which enhances the pain-relieving effect of Paracetamol and helps reduce drowsiness. It is commonly used to relieve fever, headache, body aches, sore throat, nasal congestion, sinus pressure, and discomfort associated with colds and flu. This medicine provides symptomatic relief but does not cure the viral infection causing the cold or flu.

Crocin Cold & Flu Tablet plays an important role in providing multi-symptom relief from the common cold and influenza by combining three active ingredients that work together to relieve pain, fever, and nasal congestion.

Paracetamol 500 mg is a well-known pain reliever and fever reducer. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins in the brain, which are chemicals responsible for pain and fever. This helps reduce headache, body aches, sore throat, muscle pain, and fever, making the patient feel more comfortable during illness. When taken at the recommended dose, Paracetamol is generally safe, but taking more than the prescribed amount can cause serious liver damage.

Phenylephrine 10 mg is a nasal decongestant that works by narrowing the swollen blood vessels inside the nasal passages. This reduces nasal swelling, opens blocked airways, and improves airflow, helping relieve stuffy nose, sinus congestion, and sinus pressure. Because Phenylephrine can slightly increase blood pressure, people with hypertension, heart disease, or thyroid disorders should use it only under medical advice.

Caffeine 32 mg is a mild central nervous system stimulant that helps reduce tiredness and enhances the pain-relieving action of Paracetamol. It can improve alertness and help counteract the fatigue often associated with colds and flu. However, excessive caffeine intake from other sources such as coffee, tea, or energy drinks should be avoided to reduce the risk of restlessness, insomnia, palpitations, or nervousness.
