Dapadrift 10mg Tablet

DAPADRIFT 10 mg Tablet contains Dapagliflozin 10 mg, an oral antidiabetic medication belonging to the class of SGLT2 inhibitors (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2 inhibitors). It works by preventing glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, thereby promoting urinary glucose excretion and lowering blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).

USES

• Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults

• Used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents

• May also be used to reduce the risk of:

  • Cardiovascular death in patients with established cardiovascular disease

  • Hospitalization for heart failure

  • Progression of chronic kidney disease

SIDE EFFECTS

Common Side Effects:

• Increased urination

• Genital fungal infections (especially in females)

• Urinary tract infections

• Back pain

Less Common / Serious Side Effects:

• Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) – rare but serious; monitor for symptoms like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and difficulty breathing

• Dehydration and hypotension

• Hypoglycemia (more likely when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas)

• Increased cholesterol levels

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching)
