It contains Papain, a proteolytic enzyme that breaks down dead tissue, and Urea, which softens hardened tissue and enhances the action of papain. This combination promotes natural wound cleansing (debridement), creating a healthy environment for new tissue formation and faster wound healing. Debridace Cream is commonly used in the management of diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores (bedsores), venous leg ulcers, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, and burns. It should be applied only under the guidance of a healthcare professional and is not intended for use on healthy skin. Proper wound care, infection control, and regular dressing changes are essential to achieve the best healing outcomes.
Debridace Cream combines Papain 521,700 I.U. and Urea 100 mg to promote effective wound debridement and accelerate healing. Papain is a naturally derived proteolytic enzyme that selectively digests dead, damaged, and necrotic tissue without significantly affecting healthy tissue. By removing non-viable tissue, it helps clean the wound bed, reduces bacterial growth associated with necrotic tissue, and promotes the formation of healthy granulation tissue. Urea acts as both a moisturizing and keratolytic agent, softening hardened tissue and increasing moisture within the wound, which enhances the enzymatic activity of papain and facilitates easier removal of dead tissue.
This combination is especially useful in the management of diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, burns, traumatic wounds, and post-surgical wounds. Regular use under medical supervision, combined with appropriate wound cleaning, infection control, dressing changes, and management of underlying conditions, helps improve wound healing, reduce complications, and support faster tissue repair.
