Dilate Eye Drops 5ml

Dilate Eye Drops contain Cyclopentolate 1% w/v, an anticholinergic (mydriatic and cycloplegic) medication used to dilate the pupil and temporarily relax the eye's focusing muscles. It is commonly used before eye examinations, refraction tests, and certain ophthalmic procedures to allow a better view of the retina and accurate measurement of refractive errors. It may also be prescribed in conditions such as uveitis or iritis to reduce pain caused by muscle spasms and help prevent adhesions between the iris and lens. The effects usually begin within 30–60 minutes and may last up to 24 hours, although blurred vision and light sensitivity can persist longer in some individuals. Dilate Eye Drops should be used only under the supervision of an eye specialist and are intended for ophthalmic use only.

Dilate Eye Drops contain Cyclopentolate 1%, an anticholinergic agent that produces mydriasis (pupil dilation) and cycloplegia (temporary paralysis of the eye's focusing muscles). By blocking muscarinic receptors in the iris sphincter and ciliary muscles, Cyclopentolate relaxes these structures, allowing the pupil to widen and preventing accommodation. This enables ophthalmologists to obtain a clear view of the retina, optic nerve, and other internal eye structures during diagnostic examinations. It also improves the accuracy of refractive assessments by preventing the eye from changing focus during vision testing. In inflammatory eye conditions such as uveitis and iritis, Cyclopentolate reduces painful ciliary muscle spasms and helps prevent the formation of posterior synechiae (adhesions between the iris and lens).

The medication acts rapidly, with effects beginning within 30–60 minutes. Temporary blurred vision and light sensitivity are expected until the medication wears off. It should be used strictly under ophthalmic supervision.
