Erypeg 50mcg Injection

Erypeg 50mcg Injection is used to treat anemia (low red blood cell count) due to chronic kidney disease and cancer chemotherapy. Erypeg 50mcg Injection works by stimulating the stem cells in your bone marrow to increase red blood cell production. It also operates on red blood cells at the same time to shield them from deterioration.

Erypeg 50mcg Injection is a prescription drug used to treat anemia (a shortage of red blood cells in the body) caused by chronic illnesses such as cancer, multiple myeloma and AIDS. Erypeg 50mcg Injection is also used for jet-lag and for prevention of conditions such as meningitis, when the child does not receive enough iron in its diet.

This medicine is only intended for people aged 16 and over. It can only be prescribed on the NHS by a clinician specialising in mental health and they are available at all our sites, including Browsers Day Centre. This medicine should be used together with other treatment options open to you, such as counselling or psychological therapies if appropriate.

Erypeg 50mcg Injection is used to control blood pressure in adults with mild to moderate hypertension. It is also used to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke or death in adults who have had a heart attack. This medicine is not for use in treating intermittent claudication (pain in the leg caused by narrowed arteries). Erypeg 50mcg Injection may cause side effects that may limit how well you can enjoy your life and how well you do your everyday activities as well as other side effects.

BENEFITS OF ERYPEG INJECTION

Erypeg injection is an injectable erythropoietin therapy that binds to receptors in your bone marrow (red blood cell production) and helps to replace the cells that are lost. Erypeg has been approved for the long-term treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease. Erypeg is given via intramuscular injection 2-4 times per week for up to 12 months.

Erypeg 50 mcg Injection is a medication that treats anemia in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Erypeg injections are designed to function by increasing the production of red blood cells in bone marrow and regulating the haemoglobin in the blood. It improves the quality of red blood cells and its ability to carry oxygen to all parts of your body. It helps reduce fatty degeneration, which impedes your body’s ability to perform normal functions.

HOW ERYPEG INJECTION WORKS

Erypeg injection 50 mcg is indicated for the treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease in adult patients with normal renal function who have had a decrease in their red blood cell production and/or erythrocytes circulation.
