Goldcal Alen Tablet

Goldcal Alen Tablet is a once-weekly oral medication used in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in adults. This combination formulation provides the dual benefits of a bisphosphonate (Alendronic Acid) to reduce bone resorption, and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) to enhance calcium absorption and maintain strong, healthy bones.

Alendronic Acid, a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate, works by inhibiting osteoclast activity, which slows down the breakdown of bone tissue. This helps increase bone mineral density (BMD) and reduces the risk of spinal and hip fractures. Vitamin D3 (5600 IU) supports calcium and phosphate metabolism, crucial for effective bone remodeling and prevention of hypocalcemia during bisphosphonate therapy.

This once-weekly dose is clinically proven to be effective and is easier for patients to adhere to compared to daily regimens. It is especially suitable for:
