Hopace H 5 Capsules

Hopace-H 5 Capsule is a combination medicine mainly prescribed for hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains:

• Ramipril (5 mg) – an ACE inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels.
• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg) – a diuretic (“water pill”) that removes extra salt and water from the body.

Precautions

Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have:

• Kidney disease
• Liver disease
• Diabetes
• Heart problems
• Electrolyte imbalance
• History of angioedema (swelling of face/throat)

Important precautions:

• Avoid alcohol because it may excessively lower blood pressure.
• Avoid potassium supplements unless advised by your doctor.
• Not recommended during pregnancy.
• Use cautiously while driving because dizziness may occur.
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes may be required.
