Kombiglyze XR is a prescription medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes, formulated with Metformin 500 mg and Saxagliptin 5 mg (extended-release). It is used along with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar levels in adults when lifestyle changes alone are not enough.

Metformin works by reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver and improving the body’s response to insulin, while Saxagliptin helps increase insulin release after meals and lowers excess sugar production.

Together, these ingredients help maintain better and more stable blood sugar control throughout the day.

Precaution

• Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Inform doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems.
• Avoid alcohol (increases risk of lactic acidosis).
• Monitor blood sugar regularly.
• Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take.
