LINALIGLIP DAPAMET 500 mg Tablet is a fixed-dose combination of three antidiabetic agents:

  • Dapagliflozin (10 mg) – a Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor

  • Linagliptin (5 mg) – a Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor

  • Metformin (500 mg) – a Biguanide

This triple combination is used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and dual therapy are insufficient.

USES

  • Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) in adults

  • As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control

  • May reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in diabetic patients with established cardiovascular disease (due to dapagliflozin)

BENEFITS

  • Improved blood sugar control through complementary mechanisms of action:

    • Dapagliflozin increases urinary glucose excretion

    • Linagliptin enhances incretin hormones to stimulate insulin secretion

    • Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production

  • Weight management benefit (due to dapagliflozin)

  • Low risk of hypoglycemia compared to some other therapies

  • Cardiovascular and renal protection (dapagliflozin has demonstrated benefits in some patients)

  • Convenient single-tablet regimen improves adherence

SIDE EFFECTS

Common Side Effects:

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • Genital fungal infections
