Loceryl Cream 10 Gm is an antifungal medication designed for the treatment of superficial fungal skin infections, especially where skin involvement is mild to moderate. It belongs to the morpholine class of antifungal agents and works by interfering with fungal cell membrane synthesis—specifically ergosterol production—causing structural damage to fungal cells which eventually leads to their death.

This formulation is particularly useful for dermatophyte infections (such as ringworm, tinea corporis), yeast infections (e.g. Candida species), and other common superficial mycoses. It can also be used for periungual or mild nail involvement when the nail matrix is not heavily compromised and/or systemic antifungal therapy is not desired or possible.

Loceryl Cream 10 Gm offers an advantage of topical application, which means less systemic exposure and fewer risks of systemic side effects. It is ideal for patients who prefer external therapy, those with contraindications to systemic antifungals, or for long?term maintenance to prevent recurrence.

Typically, this cream is applied once or twice daily, depending on the dermatologist’s recommendation, over a period of several weeks (often 2–4 weeks or more) until signs and symptoms have resolved and skin has healed. For infections on the feet or areas with thick skin, treatment may continue a bit longer.
