Lorax 2 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine medicine used for the short-term treatment of anxiety disorders, severe anxiety associated with depression, insomnia caused by anxiety, and preoperative sedation. It works by calming excessive brain activity, producing an anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), sedative, muscle-relaxant, and anticonvulsant effect. Lorazepam is also used in hospitals to manage certain types of seizures and acute agitation. Because it can cause dependence, tolerance, and withdrawal symptoms, it should only be used for the shortest duration and at the lowest effective dose under medical supervision.
