Mero SB 1.5 g Injection is a broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic containing Meropenem, a carbapenem antibiotic, and Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections, especially those caused by resistant bacteria. It is commonly prescribed for pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gynecological infections, septicemia (bloodstream infections), and hospital-acquired infections. Meropenem kills bacteria by preventing bacterial cell wall formation, while Sulbactam protects Meropenem from destruction by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thereby enhancing its effectiveness. This medicine is administered only by a qualified healthcare professional through intravenous injection or infusion. It is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu. Completing the prescribed course is essential to prevent recurrence and reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.

Precaution
