Nadimin Cream is a broad-spectrum antibacterial cream used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, including acne vulgaris, folliculitis, impetigo, infected wounds, and other superficial skin infections. Nadifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA synthesis and replication, thereby preventing bacterial growth and multiplication. It is effective against aerobic Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria, including Cutibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis, which are commonly associated with acne and skin infections.

Uses:

  • Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as acne vulgaris, folliculitis, impetigo, boils, and infected atopic dermatitis.
  • Management of inflammatory acne and superficial skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Directions for Use:

  • For external use only.
  • Clean and dry the affected area before application.
  • Apply a thin layer of Nadimin Cream to the affected skin once or twice daily (morning and/or evening) as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
  • Gently massage the cream into the skin until absorbed.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after application, unless the hands are the affected area.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or open wounds. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Continue use for the full duration prescribed, even if symptoms improve, to ensure complete eradication of the infection.

Side Effects: Common side effects are usually mild and include:

  • Burning sensation
  • Itching
  • Irritation
  • Redness at the application site These typically resolve on their own. If side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor. Rare side effects may include contact dermatitis or allergic reactions.

Precautions:

  • Do not use if allergic to Nadifloxacin or other quinolone/fluoroquinolone antibiotics (e.g., ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin).
  • Avoid applying on broken skin, open wounds, or mucous membranes.
  • Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings (e.g., bandages) unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase side effect risks.
  • Limit sun exposure during treatment, as Nadifloxacin may increase photosensitivity.
  • Inform your doctor if symptoms do not improve after 7 days or worsen.
  • Not recommended for children under 14 years due to limited safety data.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if prescribed by a doctor. Limited data suggest potential risks; avoid applying near the breast during breastfeeding to prevent infant exposure.

Storage:

  • Store at room temperature (20°C–25°C) away from heat, light, and moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
