Nitravet 10 mg Tablet contains Nitrazepam 10 mg, a benzodiazepine used for the short-term treatment of severe insomnia (difficulty sleeping) and, in certain cases, specific seizure disorders when prescribed by a doctor. It helps reduce the time taken to fall asleep, decreases nighttime awakenings, and improves sleep quality. Nitrazepam works by calming excessive activity in the brain, producing sedative, anxiolytic, muscle-relaxant, and anticonvulsant effects. Due to the risk of dependence, tolerance, and withdrawal symptoms, it is generally prescribed only for short durations. This medicine may cause drowsiness the next day and should not be combined with alcohol or other sedative medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional. It should only be used under medical supervision and discontinued gradually according to your doctor's instructions.

Nitravet 10 mg Tablet contains Nitrazepam, a long-acting benzodiazepine that enhances the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), the brain's major inhibitory neurotransmitter. By increasing GABA activity, Nitrazepam reduces excessive nerve cell activity in the central nervous system, producing sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, muscle-relaxant, and anticonvulsant effects.

It is primarily prescribed for the short-term treatment of severe insomnia, helping patients fall asleep faster, remain asleep longer, and experience fewer nighttime awakenings. In selected patients, it may also be used to manage certain seizure disorders under specialist supervision. Because Nitrazepam can lead to tolerance, physical dependence, and withdrawal symptoms, it should be used only for the prescribed duration and discontinued gradually under medical guidance.
