P 20 Tab

P 20 Tab is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used in the treatment of various medical conditions including glaucoma, certain types of seizures, altitude sickness, and edema (fluid retention). It works by reducing the activity of the enzyme carbonic anhydrase, thereby decreasing the production of aqueous humor in the eye, reducing intraocular pressure, and helping prevent vision damage in glaucoma patients.

This medicine is also effective in managing altitude sickness (acute mountain sickness) by balancing acid-base levels in the blood and preventing headaches, nausea, and dizziness at high altitudes. In addition, Acetazolamide may be prescribed as part of a treatment plan for epilepsy and for patients suffering from fluid retention caused by heart failure, drug-induced edema, or certain hormonal disorders.

• For Glaucoma: Lowers intraocular pressure and prevents optic nerve damage.

• For Altitude Sickness: Prevents symptoms like headache, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue caused by rapid ascent to high altitudes.

• For Epilepsy: Works as an add-on therapy to help control seizures.
