Phensedyl T Syrup plays an important role in the short-term management of dry, non-productive cough, particularly when the cough is severe enough to interfere with sleep or daily activities. Codeine Phosphate is a centrally acting opioid antitussive that suppresses the cough reflex by acting on the cough center in the brain. By reducing the sensitivity of this center, it decreases the frequency and intensity of coughing without treating the underlying cause of the illness.
