Soframycin Cream 30g

Soframycin Cream contains Framycetin sulphate 1% w/w, a topical antibiotic belonging to the aminoglycoside class, widely used for treating and preventing bacterial skin infections. It is commonly applied on cuts, wounds, burns, abrasions, and infected skin lesions to control bacterial growth and support faster healing by preventing secondary infection.

The primary active component, Framycetin sulphate 1% w/w, plays the central role as a topical antibiotic by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosomal level, leading to rapid bacterial death and control of infection in wounds, burns, and skin abrasions. Its broad antibacterial activity helps prevent colonization of damaged skin by harmful bacteria, thereby reducing inflammation and promoting faster natural healing.

The cream base acts as a supportive delivery system that allows the antibiotic to remain in contact with the affected area for prolonged action, ensuring effective penetration into superficial skin layers while maintaining moisture balance to support tissue repair.
