Terbicad Gm Cream 10gm

Terbicad GM Cream is a prescription topical combination medicine used for the short-term treatment of inflamed fungal skin infections with associated bacterial infection. It contains Miconazole, an antifungal agent that eliminates fungi; Neomycin, an antibiotic that treats susceptible bacterial infections; and Clobetasol Propionate, a highly potent corticosteroid that relieves redness, swelling, itching, and inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for infected ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, and inflamed fungal dermatitis when significant inflammation is present. The cream provides rapid relief from itching and discomfort while treating the infection. Because Clobetasol is a very potent steroid, prolonged or inappropriate use may lead to skin thinning, masking of infections, or worsening of certain skin conditions. Terbicad GM Cream should be used only under medical supervision, for the shortest duration recommended, and is not suitable for routine treatment of uncomplicated fungal infections.

Terbicad GM Cream combines Miconazole 2%, Neomycin 0.5%, and Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% to treat inflamed fungal skin infections complicated by bacterial infection. Miconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal that disrupts fungal cell membrane synthesis, effectively eliminating fungi responsible for conditions such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and candidiasis. Neomycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, treating susceptible bacterial infections that may occur alongside fungal skin disease. Clobetasol Propionate, a super-potent corticosteroid, rapidly suppresses inflammation by reducing the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby relieving itching, redness, swelling, and discomfort.

This combination provides quick symptom relief while treating mixed infections. However, because Clobetasol is a highly potent steroid, prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, delayed healing, or masking of infections. Therefore, the cream should be used only for the prescribed duration under medical supervision, with good skin hygiene to support complete recovery and reduce recurrence.

Precaution

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nose, and genital mucosa.
• Do not use on viral skin infections such as herpes or chickenpox.
• Do not apply to large skin areas or under airtight dressings unless directed.
• Avoid prolonged use because Clobetasol may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, and steroid-related side effects.
• Inform your doctor if symptoms do not improve within 1–2 weeks.
• Use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in children only if prescribed.
