Travox T Eye Drops

Travox T Eye Drops is a combination medication containing Travoprost (0.004%) and Timolol (0.5%), used to treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension in adults. Travoprost, a prostaglandin analog, increases the outflow of aqueous humor (fluid in the eye) through the uveoscleral pathway, while Timolol, a beta-blocker, reduces the production of aqueous humor. Together, they effectively lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP), which can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss if untreated.

Key Details:

• Composition: Travoprost 40 mcg/mL + Timolol Maleate 5 mg/mL
• Uses: Reduces high pressure in the eyes due to open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, particularly in patients who do not respond sufficiently to single-agent therapies.
• Dosage: Typically, one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening, as prescribed by a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as overuse may reduce effectiveness.
• Administration:
  • Wash hands thoroughly before use.
  • Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to create a pocket, and instill the prescribed number of drops.
  • Close eyes for 1–2 minutes and press the inner corner of the eye to prevent drainage.
  • Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface to prevent contamination.
  • If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between applications.
  • Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting.
• Storage: Store between 15°C–25°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle to prevent contamination.
