Trioptic Eye Drop 5ml

Trioptic Eye Drop is a combination anti-glaucoma medication used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It combines Brimonidine, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, Brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, and Timolol, a beta-blocker, to reduce the production of aqueous humor (fluid inside the eye) and improve fluid drainage. Lowering eye pressure helps protect the optic nerve and reduces the risk of permanent vision loss associated with glaucoma. The drops are intended for regular use as prescribed by an ophthalmologist and may be used when a single medicine is insufficient to control eye pressure. Since glaucoma often has no early symptoms, consistent treatment and regular eye examinations are essential to preserve vision and prevent disease progression.

Trioptic Eye Drop combines Brimonidine Tartrate 2 mg, Brinzolamide 10 mg, and Timolol Maleate 5 mg to provide effective control of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Brimonidine lowers eye pressure by reducing aqueous humor production while increasing its drainage through the uveoscleral pathway. Brinzolamide inhibits the enzyme carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary body, decreasing aqueous humor formation. Timolol, a non-selective beta-blocker, further suppresses aqueous humor production by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors in the eye. The combination offers additive pressure-lowering effects, making it useful when monotherapy is inadequate.

Lowering IOP is essential because persistently high eye pressure damages the optic nerve, leading to irreversible vision loss if untreated. Regular use, adherence to treatment, and routine eye pressure monitoring help preserve optic nerve function, slow disease progression, and maintain vision in patients with chronic glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Precaution

• Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any surface.
• Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, heart disease, low blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, or liver disease.
• Use cautiously if you have depression or circulation disorders.
• Avoid driving immediately after use if vision becomes temporarily blurred.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Storage

• Store below 25–30°C according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Do not freeze.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening, unless otherwise instructed.
