Tugain Foam 10% 60gm is a topical hair regrowth formulation used mainly for treating androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness). It contains Minoxidil 10% w/v, which is a higher-strength hair growth stimulant applied directly on the scalp.

Minoxidil works primarily as a hair follicle activator and growth-phase prolonging agent. When applied to the scalp, it is absorbed into the skin where it acts on small blood vessels around hair follicles, causing vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). This increased blood flow improves the delivery of oxygen, nutrients, and growth factors to weakened or miniaturized hair follicles. As a result, follicles that were in a resting or shrinking state are gradually “reawakened,” helping them re-enter the active growth phase known as the anagen phase.

In the case of foam formulations like Tugain Foam 10% 60gm, the delivery system enhances scalp penetration and reduces irritation compared to liquid forms, allowing more consistent absorption. With continued use, it helps slow down progressive hair thinning, stabilize hair loss, and gradually increase hair density, although results depend heavily on regular, long-term application and individual response.
