Unicarbazan Forte Tablet

Unicarbazan Forte is a combination medicine used primarily for relieving allergy symptoms (sneezing, itching, runny nose, watery eyes) and for treating filarial infections caused by parasitic worms. Chlorpheniramine helps reduce allergic reactions, while Diethylcarbamazine kills the parasites causing filariasis.

Unicarbazan Forte Tablet contains Diethylcarbamazine 250 mg and Chlorpheniramine Maleate 5 mg, which work together to treat filarial (worm) infections and the body's allergic response to those infections. Diethylcarbamazine (DEC) is the main active ingredient and acts as an antifilarial medicine. It kills or weakens microscopic filarial worms (microfilariae) and helps the immune system remove them from the body. This makes it effective in treating conditions such as lymphatic filariasis and tropical pulmonary eosinophilia. By reducing the number of parasites, DEC helps relieve symptoms such as swelling, lymphatic inflammation, cough, wheezing, and elevated eosinophil counts caused by parasitic infections.

Together, these ingredients provide a dual benefit: Diethylcarbamazine targets and eliminates the underlying parasitic infection, while Chlorpheniramine controls allergic and inflammatory symptoms associated with the infection and its treatment.??????????????
