Wegovy 2.4 Mg Flextouch Pen

Wegovy 2.4 mg FlexTouch is the maintenance dose in the semaglutide-based weight management treatment plan. This once-weekly injectable pen delivers the full therapeutic dose of semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics the effects of a natural hormone to help regulate appetite and food intake. The 2.4 mg dose is reached after a stepwise increase through lower doses (0.25 mg → 0.5 mg → 1.0 mg → 1.7 mg) to improve tolerability.

Uses:

Wegovy® is indicated for chronic weight management in adults who are:

• Obese (BMI ≥30), or
• Overweight (BMI ≥27) with at least one weight-related comorbidity such as:
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Dyslipidemia (high cholesterol)

Wegovy should be used in combination with a calorie-reduced diet and increased physical activity.

Serious but less common side effects include:

• Pancreatitis
• Gallbladder problems (e.g., gallstones)
• Kidney issues from dehydration
• Increased heart rate
• Risk of thyroid C-cell tumors (observed in rodent studies)

Warning: Do not use Wegovy if you or a family member has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN 2 (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2).

Storage:

• Before use: Store in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F)
