Zedcox Tablet

Zedcox Tablet contains Piroxicam 20 mg, a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, musculoskeletal disorders, sprains, strains, and certain types of acute pain. It helps improve mobility and reduce discomfort caused by inflammatory conditions.

Piroxicam 20 mg serves as the active therapeutic ingredient responsible for controlling inflammation and pain. It acts throughout the body by suppressing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are chemical mediators released during tissue injury and inflammatory conditions.

When joints, muscles, or tissues become inflamed, prostaglandins increase blood flow, sensitise pain receptors, and promote swelling. Piroxicam blocks the formation of these mediators, thereby reducing tenderness, stiffness, joint swelling, and pain. Because it has a relatively long duration of action compared with many other NSAIDs, a single daily dose often provides prolonged relief. This makes it particularly effective for chronic conditions such as arthritis, where continuous control of inflammation is important for maintaining mobility and quality of life.
