Zifi 200 mg contains Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed for infections of the throat, tonsils, lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract, ears, and certain intestinal infections. It works only against bacteria and is not effective for viral infections like cold or flu.

Cefixime works by killing bacteria and stopping their growth. It does this by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which is essential for bacteria to survive. Without a strong cell wall, bacteria become weak and eventually burst and die. This helps the body clear the infection naturally. Because Cefixime is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, it is effective against many types of bacteria that cause respiratory, urinary, and gastrointestinal infections.

By eliminating the infection, it helps reduce symptoms such as fever, pain, swelling, cough, sore throat, and burning during urination, allowing the body to recover faster.
