Aloja 25mg Tablet is an oral antidiabetic medicine used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). It belongs to a class of medications known as DPP-4 inhibitors (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 inhibitors). Alogliptin is prescribed to adults with type 2 diabetes to improve glycemic control when lifestyle measures like diet and exercise alone are not sufficient.

The primary action of Alogliptin is to regulate blood sugar levels by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in the body. Incretins help stimulate insulin release after meals and reduce the amount of glucose produced by the liver. By inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, Alogliptin prolongs the activity of these hormones, resulting in better postprandial (after-meal) and fasting glucose control.

Aloja 25mg Tablet is typically taken once daily and can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin. It is especially beneficial for patients who are unable to tolerate other medications or who are at risk of hypoglycemia.

This medication is not suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes or for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). It should be used alongside a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and frequent blood glucose monitoring to achieve optimal results.

Aloja 25mg Tablet offers the advantage of once-daily dosing, low hypoglycemia risk, and weight-neutral effects, making it a convenient and effective choice for long-term diabetes management.
