Aspisol 150mg Tab is a dual-ingredient formulation used for the prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular complications in patients at risk of blood clot-related events. This combination works by thinning the blood and protecting the stomach lining, making it ideal for long-term cardiovascular protection with reduced gastrointestinal side effects.

The two components include:

  • Aspirin (150 MG) – A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with antiplatelet properties. It works by inhibiting platelet aggregation, preventing the formation of blood clots in arteries. It is widely used for cardiac event prevention and post-operative care in cardiac patients.

  • Glycine (75 MG) – An amino acid that helps buffer the acidity of Aspirin and protect the gastric lining. It reduces the chances of gastric irritation or ulcers commonly associated with long-term Aspirin use.

This formulation is especially beneficial for patients requiring long-term aspirin therapy but who are also prone to acid reflux or gastrointestinal issues. Glycine acts as a gastroprotective agent, making this version of Aspirin safer for prolonged use.

Doctors often recommend this combination for individuals with a history of myocardial infarction, transient ischemic attack (TIA), coronary artery disease, or after procedures such as angioplasty or bypass surgery. It is also used in patients with atrial fibrillation, where blood thinning is needed to prevent stroke.
