Gbay Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medication used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, particularly for patients who need better postprandial blood glucose control. It belongs to the class of drugs called alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, which work by slowing down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the small intestine.

Unlike many other anti-diabetic medications that affect insulin secretion or sensitivity, Acarbose acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract. By delaying the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into glucose, Acarbose helps prevent sudden spikes in blood sugar levels after meals.
