Reurate 80 Mg Tablet 

Reurate 80 mg Tablet is a medicine used to control high uric acid levels in the body. It contains Febuxostat, which belongs to a group of medicines called xanthine oxidase inhibitors. These medicines work by reducing the production of uric acid inside the body. When uric acid becomes too high, it can form sharp crystals in the joints, which leads to a condition called gout, causing sudden pain, swelling, redness, and stiffness in joints, especially the big toe, ankles, or knees.

This medicine is usually given to people who suffer from chronic gout or hyperuricemia (high uric acid levels). By keeping uric acid under control, it helps prevent future gout attacks and also reduces the risk of complications like joint damage and kidney stones caused by uric acid buildup.

Reurate 80 mg does not give immediate pain relief during an active gout attack; instead, it works slowly over time to control the root cause of the problem. Some people may notice that gout pain can temporarily increase when starting the medicine, but this usually settles as treatment continues.

Precaution

• May temporarily trigger gout attacks when starting, so doctors sometimes prescribe anti-inflammatory medicine alongside it.
• Liver health: Can increase liver enzymes; your doctor may check your liver before and during treatment.
• Kidney or heart disease: Inform your doctor if you have these conditions.
• Avoid excessive alcohol and purine-rich foods (red meat, organ meats, certain seafood).
